Ha ha. I do apologize, i did meat a sluggish shift(slow to engage into gear).

Check your TV (Throttle-Valve) cable adjustment (the transmission kick-down cable). Sliding the cable's sleeve toward the IP will slightly raise the line pressures and shift points. They will engage a little harder with the trans thinking you're giving more fuel than you really are . . . . so to speak.

Well mine is going tobe down for a while so I'll try it on my dads next time i'm up there and see what it does. His does the same thing as mine, but his is a lot worse. His truck does not like backing up at all, think the trans is old and tired. Hell the trans has still not been rebuilt and has 250k or beter and he has had it since 96 and it think he has changed the trans filter twice, maybe! It only had bout 60k on it when he bought it.

So in other words that damn truck is a trooper and my dad is a little
