what is the 96 duramax turbo?
will it work easily on the ole 1st gen?
what size is it?

there was no duramax in 96. You mean teh 6.5?

the 6.5 turbo (not a duramax-they didn't come out til 2001) only makes like 7lbs of boost, so no i don't think you would want to try that just because the 1st gen one is better, and to get any 2001-later duramax turbo to work you'd need a stand alone vane controller for it being as it's a variable geometry turbo gonna probably be more work than it's worth to get it running correctly

typo its a 98 not a 96
i cant find anything about it anywhere

The VVT turbo was not put on the first Gen Duramax(LB7) so no vane controller would be needed.

The duramaxs dont use a t-3 flange do they?
