over on 1st gen I think someone said the 5 speeds had a he135 or something like that, but he should be returning soon with the rest of my money, my jack and my clamp, so hopefully get the paper work for it.

 

might be... I'm not real up to date on the 24v's

 

if its off a 99 im pretty sure all the turbos 5 spd or auto up to 01 were HX35...in 01 i think is when they started putting the hy35's on the autos which they have a smaller exhaust housing to help with spool up...

 

X2 thats what I was thinking as well.

94+ Cummins had hx35 for both Autos and manuals.

01-04 Had the hy35 on the 01-02 automatics and 03-04 Standard output engine.

01-02 Five and six speeds had hx35.

03-04 Ho engines had HE341

04.5+ 5.9s all had HE351s

and the 6.7 use a HE351VGT

That is all to the best of my knowledge. But I could be wrong. It has happened before.

it could be a hx40 though.somebody could have changed it,just cause it says holset don't mean it came on that truck.or it could be a hx35/40 hybrid.
