Shorten the screw, try removing it all together, or grind some off the lever. Is your truck a stick or an auto? Some of the stick owners like there idle bumped up to around 850-900 to make it easier to start off with a trailer on hills.

Where do i need to grind on the lever, the screw is backed out and not even touching the lever at all, and it is an auto. i would like to get another turn out of the fuel screw but i can't because i can't get the idle down, thanks for the replie, i will look at it to see if it is hitting something that i can grind off. Roger

RSwords i found what my problem was, i had adjusted my linkage to tight after i did my fuel pin mod thanks for the help, it had not seemed that tight because there was play in it, thanks for the help, i also have the full cummins manual if any body needs me to look up any specs for them, it is for the 85 12 valve cummins but it is the same motor we have in our trucks, thanks again for the help
