What yall think?
i love diamond plate... it's so puuurty... i should post a pic of the rear end of my truck now that i have the flat bed on it... had to mount lights somehow and i just happened to have a 62" long and like 3 foot wide piece of aluminum diamond plate layin around... soooo now i have two 6x2 oval lights on each side of the truck mounted in diamond plate... gettin ready to make my "mud flap weights" out of diamond plate too... it's VERY universal
btw... looks good... how did you bend the diamond plate? kinda looks like you used a metal brake; didnt know you could do that with diamond plate

Ya I love diamond plate also man!! Hopefully do a custom dash and other interior item's in diamond plate to match later on.
Used the vice. Got some angle on each side as the vice ain't long enough and used a big adjusteable wrench and used a razor blad to scroe the diamond plate and bent it into shape. That's what we do around here as we don't have an acutlly shop just a bunch of tools my dad has had for a while as he's 65 and we still work in the dirt, don't have a nice garge floor or nothing. A REAL PAIN IN THE BUTT TO SHAPE THAT DIAMOND PLATE!!

yeah; once you get a garage floor it's kinda hard to go back to the dirt.... i got lucky and my aunts farm has two bay doors and are about 2 bays deep... this will be my 2nd truck i've rebuilt in there. so; yes i'm spoiled but dirt wouldnt stop me either way. i live to wrench
i had the same idea to remove the factory dash insert and make a diamond plate one.... i guess i need to be abit more original... or great minds think alike; take your pick. either way looks good bud
Ya I really wish I had a garge or atleast a concret floor to work on my trucks, id be out working on my truck damn near 24/7 with an actually shop or garge!
Thanks man working on her as much as possilbe and if my injectors and spring ever get here hopefully see some big results and start some body work this weekend. And either ordering the stacks first or air dog.
