Default Grid Heater Problem

i have a 92 and when its cold out my wait to stat light will stay on and will kill my battery. but i cant hear my grid heater relay clicking. i didnt know if the sensor that tells when the grid heater to kick on is bad. i here that they should come on when its 59f out. this has been an on going problem. but it dose not do it all the time. would like some info on wht it could be. u can call me after 3 if you need more info. 5856105810

I woudl check to see if teh grids are getting power. Put a volt meter on them. Does the truck start ok? Does teh light stay on even after the truck starts? How about when its warm out (i know its winter )

Thanks and

say when its warm out its ok but when it get cold out the light stays on all the time. and i dont hv them hooked up at the moment. but my batt still dies. and it only happens when the wait to stat light is on. i look up the wireing on alldatapro and i think its the sensor that tells when the grid heatrer to come on

How long are you leaving them on that it kills the battery? Even though grids draw alot of power I would think they would take a little while to pull a good battery down that far.
