did you also check the level in the radiator? If you happen to have a leak in the cooling system and loose antifreeze. A low coolant level will do the same thing.

Ummmmmmm .... Double take here. Yeah by looking at the posts the first reaction is ... . However I am willing to bet A: Airbound, B: Hung open from Sediment or hard water/anti freeze mix.

When you do replace the t stat AND WATER PUMP ... make sure to either buy pre mix or mix with distilled water for long trouble free service.

screw the mix just run concentrate, im runnning ful concentrate in my truck 4.5 gallons of it. i have replaced 5 t-stats in my 12v in the last 6 months, they just dont last. im going to get my next one directly from cummins
