I like the 25 MPG on the highway, and the power and toque to pull my 30 fifth wheel up the 6% grade and still get 15 MPG. In 3rd gear. I like how my stock 93 1st gen ran off and left a GMC and a Ford Power Stroke pulling toy haulers up the hill. It needs a paint job, but it runs real well. That is what I like about my 1st Gen Dodge Diesel.

I like the fact that my first generation starts up every time I turn the key. I only get 18mpg but doing all I can to get up to 20 or 22 ASP

I like the looks of the 1st gen & the simplicity. I don't like or need a lot of electronic controls. I do want to convert to a newer trans with the lockup torque converter. I am trying to get reasonable power without excessive smoke. Smoke is unburned ( translates to WASTED) fuel. Not sure of mileage yet but will find out after I swap instrument clusters so I have an odometer again.

The truck is fun to drive. It's not your average car/truck driving down the road. It's a rare piece of beauty. IT'S A CUMMINS!

What do I love about my 92 12 valve 5 speed dually!? I love that I'm the only 16 year old girl driving one around here. I love the looks I get when I go by guys in there expensive trucks there daddy bought them. I love that I'm in a real truck. The rough ride don't bother be at all in fact I enjoy it. I love shifting gears and hearing the turbo whistle. I love going by bikers and smoking them out so bad I can't see them in the rear view mirror. I just love my damn truck & yes I'm a girl!

Love walking into Orilleys and not even having to answer the hundred questions about it, cause everyone there knows 93 w250 5.9, and walking right out in the parking lot with a screwdriver and replacing the part!
I love impressing the **** out of everyone when you beat the power choke by 4 lengths with a trail of rust behind you!
Most of all...! I love the squealing of a 16 cm turbo spooling up a whoping 40 lbs of boost and blowing by a dumbass on the freeway, to retaliate by blacking out the street!

I love the fact that my first gen starts every time with just a bump of the key. Love how it sounds and how it feels to drive, like a real truck, especially with the 5spd. And most of all, I got a clean unmolested one.

I also own a 3rd gen and in comparison; has to crank a bit to start, much more comfy ride (except the seats), seems easier to drive (partly due to being an auto), fits the whole family.

I like the older look on the truck. I also like that almost everything is mechanical, not all the electronic bull ****.
