Default Turbo upgrade

Hello I have purchased a 93 with 5 getrag. I have a hx35 with waste gate. Do you guys think this turbo will be sufficient if I crank up my hp around 350. I plan on doing injectors , fuel pin, 3200 gov spring and 4" off turbo to 5" back. Any other suggestions will be appreciated

It should spool faster than the stock turbo but you won't gain much on the compressor end. Since you already have the turbo I would give it a try. you can always upgrade.

That's one thing I was curious about going to a 60mm compressor housing will give me a lot more air right? Along with helping keep egt down?

It sure couldn't hurt. But at 350 HP you shouldn't have a lot of problems. That is unless you do a lot of heavy towing. There are a lot of guys making more power with non intercooled trucks.

Well I won't be doing a lot if heavy towing but from time to time I will be hauling my 30' goose neck with my tractor and implements

I think a lot depends on how a guy drives. I have seen threads where 5 guys have the same modifications. three have no problems One wants more and the other can't keep it running cool enough.
If you watch the gauges you can prevent a lot of problems.

I was looking for an HX35 but for the prices have gone up lately so I will just piece a H1c together and get closer to what I want for the price of a good used HX35.

What benefits are there for the he351 vs hx35. Just a bigger turbo and more hp right?

60mm compressor and a 9cm turbine housing. they spool instantly compared to other stock chargers. they arnt so great for the common rail stuff but work very well on 1st and 2nd gens that are still used as trucks not toys.
