Getrag wont come out of neutral after clutch install...
Hi,
So I'm finally doing some "building" on my first gen. I decided to go with the South Bend Street Dual Disc in front of the Getrag.
My friends and I put everything back together yesterday. The tranny went back on actually quit flawlessly(very odd when I'm playing mechanic). But then we got it all back together and were gonna go on a test run, but the shifter seems stuck in neutral... Cant really move it side to side or up and down?
When i first started it we left the drive shaft off just incase. Didnt wanna go thru the shop wall if we had screwed up, but the clutch seems to work fine... U can hear the engine kinda load when u let the clutch out, just like normal. But its stuck in nuetral...
Any ideas? I looked at the different manuals that are on the first gen sticky and cant really see any specific details on how its supposed to look down from the top...
Any help would be great!! Thanks

i have never messed with the getrag but i bet you got the shifter out of the top of the shift forks where it goes. was it in neutral when you pulled it out? Pull the shifter back out and make sure that the forks are lined up straight across then be sure that you get the end of shifter into the middle of the forks.
