What size injectors are you running, what is done to the pump? How much meth are you running in the mix? I just have a hard time seeing a HX40 supporting that number on a 1st gen truck. Heck the B1 Brian was running back in the day was having trouble keeping up with his trucks fueling thats why he jumped up to the twins. I'm hoping to have a good core engine here soon to start building

I think the HX40 will support a Hot 425HP

I dont know, it would be pushing it. bgilbert was having trouble getting up there with that HX55 he was running. I guess if you ran enough meth you could do it but I wouldnt want to push that on mine. Also unless he is running a decent set of injectors it would be a strectch. You know as well as me its a pain to make power with the VE unless you have done your homework. I've been following KTA and Stomp's progress since 02 when I had my VE pumped truck. Not many out there over 400 on these. I would just like to see more specs the just pump work, injectors and such.

OI agree 100% that making 400 w/ a VE is a hell of a acomplishment. I do think the HX40 can do it though. It's gonna be REAL hot but it will do it. For a Dyno it would be OK but dont plan on running the 1/4, pulling a sled or a trailer with it. It would self destruct. I too am curious about the pump and injectors.

800hp is possible with a VE, based on 2hp per mL/stroke. (KTA said that is possible with an eficient use of fuel.). There are VEs that can top 400mL/stroke with a stock cam plate. Throw in a 4mm cam plate, and you could go more. But, like previously mentioned, you need BIG fuel supply (with a BIIG filter, right, bgilbert?), and BIG air to make it. I saw Bill's 450hp dyno run from a few years back, and it looked like he had fuel for 550.

The video from Bills 524 hp run a few weeks ago looked like he still had plenty of fuel.

800HP on the street is for electronic controlled injection. You'll never keep it cool in a 12er.......PERIOD. I have been around these kinda trucks quite a bit and it aint gonna happen. I drove a 96 with a 650HP well tuned Schied built (from the bottom up) engine running a single and it was so nasty it wasn't even fun to drive.
