cc for 91 dodge
I got a deal on a rolled 92 dodge with all the options including cruise I pulled the whole works out and installed into my 91 that came with out cruise so the question is it apears that my clock spring is bad. And they ar unavailable. Is there a way to repair the clockspring or get rid of it completly an go to a column mounted chevy stile setup?

A 2nd gen clock spring will work with connector changes. You may be able to transfer the innerds into the 1st gen housing. Haven't look into that. Clock springs from other vehicles may be useable with connector changes as well. That will take some research. Final option is to remove the switches from the steering wheel and relocate them. A shifter mount may be convenient.

You may be able to cross reference to another Dodge/Chrysler vehicle that is more common in the junkyards (just a guess, but Caravan or a full size Jeep). They have quite a few similarities in the electronics and I wouldn't be surprised if they shared a lot of CC goodies. Still gonna have to do some cross checking, but Rockauto has an awfully good online catalog that may help ... and no dummies to ask you questions like if its 4wd.
