I got a deal on a rolled 92 dodge with all the options including cruise I pulled the whole works out and installed into my 91 that came with out cruise so the question is it apears that my clock spring is bad. And they ar unavailable. Is there a way to repair the clockspring or get rid of it completly an go to a column mounted chevy stile setup?

Did your 91 have cruise control? The clock springs are different.
It may be possible to repair the one out of the 92. Take it apart and you'll find about 14" of ribbon rolled up in it. Depending were the damage is, you may be able to cut off one end and reattach it.

I took the entire 92 cruese set up out of the 92 therefor the clockspring is a 92. Are there any other options for repair if this fix is not an option?

A 2nd gen clock spring will work with connector changes. You may be able to transfer the innerds into the 1st gen housing. Haven't look into that. Clock springs from other vehicles may be useable with connector changes as well. That will take some research. Final option is to remove the switches from the steering wheel and relocate them. A shifter mount may be convenient.

I got a new clock spring for my first gen about 6 months ago from south county dodge in St. Louis.... It was pricey, like 130 bucks but the horn doesn't honk when I turn corners and the cruise works!!!!

You may be able to cross reference to another Dodge/Chrysler vehicle that is more common in the junkyards (just a guess, but Caravan or a full size Jeep). They have quite a few similarities in the electronics and I wouldn't be surprised if they shared a lot of CC goodies. Still gonna have to do some cross checking, but Rockauto has an awfully good online catalog that may help ... and no dummies to ask you questions like if its 4wd.
