Strange noise cannot pinpoint.
My truck started making a strange noise the other day I can only hear inside the cab, I thought it might be torque converter bolts but they were tight, checked for rubbing on the exhaust and it doesn't hit no marks. Somebody told me it could be the muffler because it started the noise about a day after I put the muffler back on. The noise is loudest in park or neutral but goes away with barely pressing the throttle.
Well it's not an easy noise to describe it sounds like something metal that is barely touching other metal and also sounds like its oscillating. But it also sounds like a very light grinding. Hence the reason I checked torque converter and exhaust....
Put your foot against the exhaust pipe somewhere near the transmission and see if it stops it. My 92 started rattling at a certain rpm after the transmission shop r&red the transmission. They didn't put the support clamp back on next to the bell housing. Once properly support again, it quit rattling.
