Default question for you guys

Ok I have a 93 D350 With the 12valve 5.9L well my truck is putting out white smoke and popping and cracking when revved but after running for 10mins it stops and runs as it should what could this problem be?

It does this every time or only happened once?

Sounds like you have water in er...i did this once i drove through some floodwater too deep and it sucked up some water...smoked white and missed and popped untill i got the water out...Now she runs good...

No this is my first diesel so I'm new to this could this be caused by too much water in the separater off the fuel filter?
