just put a 93 cummins with a nv4500 in my 03 f350...got it running and driving today and have to say she has tons of low end torque and 1-3rd is great but 4th and 5th...ehh i need more power. i have a 42' tripple axle gooseneck and i pulled it empty today and i definitely need more power. suggestions?? the motor is stock with the pump turned up. i have the fuel screw turned way up and it smokes like a bastard towing that trailer and trying to get up to speed on the highway. i know i cant build huge power without a ppump but what can i do to get good good power out of this motor??

 

3200 gov spring for sure for some more top end but with simple pump mods it shouldnt be smoking horribly unless your lugging the truck? If thats not the case id be looking for boost leaks as well. whats your gauges telling you?

 

Fixed the problem!! My intercooler hose had popped off! Damn what a difference! I got lots of power now
