Default Front Chassis Question

I'm currently trying to finish rebuilding the front suspension and steering. I don't know the specific name to the bars that run from each control arm to a mounting point on the front of the truck. I think they are called radius arms, not torsion bars.

I'm trying to replace the bushings on them, but in front of the big nut is some kind of retaining pin. Anyone know how to remove it? I've tried a punch and screwdriver and its not coming out. I still can't even get the nut to break loose on either one of the bars. Any ideas?

OH! Its a 2wd... Its a lower control arm strut. As for breaking the nut loose get a torch and heat it up and get a impact ready to hit it just as the orange glow comes out the nut

I managed to get the nuts off with a little bit of heat work. Thanks for the advice on that.

On another note, does anyone have a picture of the steering linkages on a 2wd? I forgot which way the tie rod is supposed to route and can't tell....oops
