How do i read my Pyro gauge ?
i usually like to keep mine under 1200 although i have heard short runs to 1500 won't hurt anything. just make sure you let it cool down to around 300 before you shut your truck off.
Where is the exhaust gas temperature sensor located at?
- In the exhaust manifold just before the turbo?
OR
- In the exhaust down-pipe just after the turbo?
(There's typically a 300*f difference between the two locations, with the down-pipe location being the cooler).
The sensor mounted in the exhaust manifold is the more desirable location. With that:
- 1250*f MAX at a 100% duty-cycle (WOT, all day long).
- 650* ~ 750*f is typical for a light-throttle at about 60 ~ 70 mph.
