I believe the 1st gens came with non-divorced np-205s has anyone ever changed to a divorced np205 or have any knowledge on it ?

 

The divorced t-case will require a 2wd transmission, or at least the tail housing and a short intermediate drive shaft to connect it.. You will have to also make a crossmember for the t -case to mount to since it doesn't mount the the transmission. Since it will sit considerably further back from the transmission it will also need new front and rear driveshafts.
