They will do fine as long as you don't abuse them....KTA made 650rwhp in what, like 2006? STOMP's last failure I think was cause it was low on fluid, and as long as you don't try to shock them, the shafts and clutches live. I would worry more about actually making the power you're shooting for

Ya I just got off the phone with Mark at alligator, he said that these transmissions are underestimated, as long as I keep 5qts in the tranny Ill be fine, he has a buddy putting 700 on fuel through a stock getrag with 265k miles they have kept the tranny overfull. told me that I should keep the ve at stock 12mm and run ddp stage 4s instead of 3s, dont need the billet push rods, go with 150gph on the fass, and port and polish the head, exhaust manifoild, and intake. and keep everything else the same..from my 1st list of parts

That's the plan, LOL, but I will have a modded NV5600 on standby.

NV5600 are a POS useless tranny...

NV4500 are better in every way, not sure why everyone thinks 6 gears is better... they're close to the same ratios...

And just to be clear... the shift-gap between 3rd and 4th... shouldn't bother anyone with the correct fuel mods..

NV5600s are not pos useless transmissions. There's a reason that guys pushing high HP in the common rail trucks tend to swap out their G56 for an NV5600. The only reason people seem to think they're a pos is because they're a bit harder to find parts for than an NV4500.

Stock vs Stock...

NV4500 over the NV5600, i have seen a NV5600 that was blown to smitherines but i have never seen a f*cked up NV4500 other than a 5th gear nut...

Maybe these are just my opinions rather than facts... but i live in a place where the NV4500 are way more common than NV5600 but the NV5600 are a usual sight at every truck shop i go to...

The 5600 has very similar ratios compared to the 4500, BUT... they "closed" the gap between 3rd to 4th, everyone with a NV4500 knows what i'm talking about...

The 6th gear on the 5600 has a .02 difference from the 5th gear on the 4500 if i recall correctly, so it's not like you are getting an over-over-drive like in a Borg Warner T56 over the Tremec T5..

NV4500 all the way, put in a good DD South Bend w/input shaft upgrade, 5th gear fix (my preference is weld it to the shaft) and you have a lifetime tranny supporting over 600whp !

So just because they are more common means they are worse? If you think about it, theres more of them and EVERYTHING has problems so you see more problems because theres more of them...

I'm not sure you read my post right...

The NV4500 is more common here.... and finding a NV5600 is a pity... the only ones i could find are ones that are blown up or f*cked up in transmission shops...

Read my post over again...
