Default issues with my electrical

ive got a 90 ctd my problem is that it is kinda surging u can see it in the dashlights and the headlights just put a brand new battery in the b**ch brand new alternator and i keep going through voltage regulators ive gone through and checked every ground that i could think of my voltage holds fairly steady when the truck is running just cant seem to get rid of this "tick" in my lighting thank god for oreillys lifetime warranty on the voltage regulators, weird beings its electrical anyway any help would be great any suggestions getting a little annoyed this : Thanks for the Help

I would replace the alternator and the voltage regulator to be sure, but sounds like the Alternator is charging on the halves.

My 1991.5 did this and it was the alternator charging only on 180 degrees of a revolution.

this is the second alternator first replacement was a reman second one was brand new still ticking
dont have a clue

Run a wire straight off one of the regulator bolts to the negative on the battery make sure it has a really good ground. Also get the good regulator from Dodge they last a lot longer.

Make sure the alternator is good, still sounds like it is only half charging.

ok ran a wire from the voltage regulator to the neg. on the battery nothin changed dont know what to do any more
