I looked all over the net for a writeup on doing a p-pump swap n only found bits n pieces so more then likely I will do a detailed writeup on it. I've already had my fingers in the pump, slif the plate all the way forwards n same with the afc housing. Gonna run my 24v hx35 with a 16cm non gated housing that I have for now .

Well guys I started it today, The VE took her last breathe at 10-30 this morning. So I pulled everything off the drivers side electrical related, fuel related including my 2nd gen lp n regulator, throttle cable which I will slightly mod to fit the p-pump, boost gauge line, intake tubes on both sides, vac power steering pump have been removed from the motor but still in the truck to avoid re bleeding the power steering system, battery is out, Turbo is out along with the exhaust mani which I gave to dad since his on his 96 is shrunk, all the front stuff is switched over, alt, fan bracket n fan, belt tensioner( 95 one was broken).

The water temp probe I still gotta remove, fuel return line, then unbolt the bell housing and motor mounts n lift her out.

So here's the pics from today.

Turbo and exhaust manifold off. You can see my previous attempt to save the block or atleast prolong it's life since it only has 201k km on it.

One nice thing about how the thermal switch and KSB is wired up is that you will never tell by looking at the wiring that it was there, there's no stray plug, no cut wires no nothing as it gets power off the fss then goes to the sensor then to the KSB. So since those are both related to the VE and don't plug into the factory harness it will never be known that it was there.
