where did you find the engine? Did you hop across the border, or did you find it in BC?

Not really it's had a plate bolted over it with jb weld behind it for months now. it's cracked just like a 24V 53 block.

Here's more pics. basically it was a bolt in swap aside from getting a fitting which i already had to run the 2nd gen lp on my VE for the inlet fuel line then connecting the return line up and 3 wires for the fss. Basically used everything from the VE like fan, motor mounts, rad, turbo, backing plate n so on.

This is what we started with Yesterday.

Here is where we finished yesterday. And it did run lastnight.

Today got all finished up, put on about 100km and so far no issues, runs like a top has loads of power with lil smoke and no coolant leaks.

I actually got it in Oliver here for 1500 bucks so I wasn't gonna complain.

Dude! So can't hardly wait to get mine in my possession. Oh! It will be my second, my dad has had 2 and has an '01 High Output 24Valve with 6 speed, its sweet too, I want it as well, this second one I'm getting, the injector pump has not gone out yet and it has over 300,000 miles on it and the A/C still blows cold, my dad still has his second 1st Gen and it was my 3rd choice on a 1st Gen, but it is a total mess, the tailgate came out of place while turning a corner while it was hooked to a gooseneck trailer, not pretty, needs a new bed now. Its in really bad shape too, it needs an injector pump as well, but it a loaded 1st Gen, electric everything.

Well, everything looks so sweet on yours, congrats!
