Default gas pedal problems

in my 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 im having problems with the gas pedal its extremely touchy and it will go to the floor and wont come back. Also the throttle cable is a little loose for some reason, any suggestions on what to do or how to fix it?

The throttle cable should have a spring on the end to keep preload on them. I've seen mechanics take them off and throw them away when installing a new cable because you really don't need it... until the cable gets old. Sounds like the spring in your TPS perch might be toast too though.

It's just a missing spring on the throttle linkage my friend. You know how the plate your cable attaches to is shaped like a diamond? Well on the other end of the diamond from the ball joint where your throttle cable attaches to is a couple of holes, one of which is where a spring is supposed to be.
