Default Major Trans Problem….

I have a major problem with my truck. It started last night I came to a coast and the go back on the throttle and at about 15 mph it felt like the TC locked up and lugged the engine. I shifted to neutral and it quit then I went back to drive and it had no problem. And I drove on home. Today on my way to work I came to a stop after getting lunch and it did it again but this time after the going to neutral and back to drive it did it again about 6 more times till I got to work the last time it killed the engine. So I stuck it into 4 LO and let it idle to a spot. About 30 minuets later I got back in it and went for a spin with no trouble. Any ideas? The trans is completely stock at least to the best of my knowledge. I was saving for a built trans may be getting it a little sooner tan I thought

Sounds like your TC is staying locked or your valve body is having an issue relieving line pressure on the down shift. Get it to a shop.

The 06 PSD i drove was the best , Almost like a Hydro Static ,

The Suncoast is Quite Violent , the Goerend is alot Smoother and there customer service is better

The difference in shifting depends on the level of build and the programming. My truck shifts so hard it'll knock your teeth out because its built for racing. A smoother shifting tranny is built for daily driving and towing. The shifting depends on how you want it built.

Probably had a tow converter and not a race converter. I've seen the Goerend's race truck make some laps and it shifts hard as hell.
