Default Wont Keep a charge

Looking for some help...I have a 97 12V. I let the truck sit for a few weeks and when i went to start it, it was dead and wouldnt jump start...so ive replaced the alternator and both batteries. The GEN light still comes on after approxamently 5 min of driving and the amp guage is showing approx 10 instead of the usual 14. It ran for about a week and is dead again. Guessing i have something putting a drain on it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Maybe clean your cable ends and check all grounds. You have a draw somewhere probably.

72FJ - Thats what i was afraid of...After doing some reading in the chiltons book (after I made this post) Seems like that might be the problem. If I hook up a computer will it throw a code (bad PCM) or will I have to replace and hope?! thanks

cumminstothefloor - Checked all grounds, all are good except (1) passenger side battery ground...Gonna replace tomorrow. thanks

No problem good luck. No feeling worse then knowing your truck is down IMO. Lol
