That would most likely be a little unburnt fuel. And no, no part of the aneroid has anything to do with the way it acts on startup.

Is the Aneroid the same as the starwheel? so I should be safe with the smoke nothing to worry about just other than dirty looks when people walk thu it ha ha. Thanks for the info

The star wheel u speak of is part of the aneroid assembly.

Mine does the same but I live in Alaska and it was 37* this morning. But it does it when it is 50+ out as well if it sits long enough so maybe it's some unburnt fuel from a cold combustion chamber that does not burn the fuel fully. We use 500,000 btu per hour diesel heaters and when they start to starve for fuel they blow white smoke

I mean it really dont sit more than mabey a good long weekend its my daily driver back and fouth to work around town stuff. It sits from about 5:40 am tell 3pm and the weather is warming up. Plus I dont really remember it smoking as bad as it does no when it was winter weather. if its normal and nothing new on the ol cummins I wont worry to hard about it. I would like to figure out a way to tone it down a little if yall got some know how on that
