Hey Guys and Gals...

I currently own a 2WD Club Cab 93 Auto 12V...

I am looking at buying a 94 3/4 ton 4x4 Auto Standard Cab from a Friend....

I haven't seen the truck yet, but Here is the info I have so far....

Been a Work truck it's whole life, but body and bed are supposed to be 8 out of 10 for looks...Guy was in Concrete business....

Has around 140k on the clock....mostly in town city miles...??? ( good or bad..?)

It has rear air bags for load hauling....

Transmission was replaced with rebuilt unit 15k ago due to broken fitting caused by Oil Can
Henry's ( lube shop ) doing a poor flush job...

Isn't supposed to have any leaks...?

Guy I am getting this from has ZERO mechanical back ground so....?
I am a mechanic so I will be looking it over with my fine tooth combs....

I am looking for a rough Value on this thing....He has a Friend driving and using it at the moment who wants it for 900.00....?????? I told him that was WAY too Low unless it's a Pile...

He is going thru a Rough Divorce and Attorney says sell the thing for blue book which He says is around 3800.00 or so.....

Sight unseen I figured if everything is What he states, I was willing to do 2000.00....?

I will be Trading my Labor time on part or all of this, so ...? He needs mechanic'ing done on his Other Truck and Family car.....So this will be a win win either way...But I don't want to burn the guy either....

a decent 2nd gen 4x4 with only 140,000 is worth arount 8-9k on the right day. ummmm... 2k is a freakin steal even if its beat all to hell and has 300,000 miles on it

 

If he is willing to sell it for 3800 I would buy it in a heartbeat!

You better try and make a deal because if he advertises it for 3800 it will be gone within the hour, I've seen it happen.

 

Deal fell thru.....I sold my 92 Cummins for 2800.00 and then the Asswipe backs out of the deal on me.....I was a bit pissed to say the least....

Bonus side of things....I ended up using the money as a Down on a 99 Quad Cab 4x4 Cummins with a bunch of upgrades already done to it.....

So now I get to slide over to the 24 valve side of the Board and learn some things...

 

So whats the new truck have done to it already??
