super sensitive throttle
ive been meaning to ask why my throttle response is really sensitive. ive never had a vehicle with such a responsive throttle. only had the truck about 6 months. still figuring things out.
Does it rev past 2900 rpm when warmed up and the tranny is in neutral or when in gear? From what I've read that usually means it has an aftermarket govenor spring kit which Raises your powerband and throttle response. I also read that you can tighten your stock gov springs to gain some rpm before it tapers off. I'm ordering a 4k gsk kit and 60lb valve springs soon. I bought my truck a month ago and am learning this stuff as I go
Are you used to driving a diesel? Because when I first got my 12v I could barely control it because of the super sensitive throttle. The Cummins just has a really touchy throttle naturally..
