Thanks cummins guy! Read the whole post. I really plan on diving into the motor sometime and getting it balanced and so on... I hope I don't have valve issues right now. My motor does it the worst while cold and after I run it hard. It also does it in neutral at the stop light but not noticeable while in gear. I wonder sometimes while going down the road but the roads up here in alaska are bumpy due to frost heaves and such. As soon as I get some time off from work I am going to clean my injectors and have them pop tested. And does anybody know where to get some injector line clamps!!! Thanks

Rotated the barrels. It is sooo much smoother, so it must have been pretty unbalanced to begin with. Plus it's got some more grunt. I would do it again.

Im fairly new to the fuel system and injection pump of the 12v. What exactly do you mean when you say "rotated the barrels"? Ive got this same problem all the way up to about 1250 on the tach. Mechanic friend says its an injector, but im not so sure.. Any suggestions?

Well my idle went up to almost 1000 rpm when the barrels where adjusted. So that helped hide the rough spot. I idled it back to 750 and it's still there though not as noticeable when warmed up. I'm cleaning my injectors next because it seems like an easy enough process and I believe they are the stock injectors and my truck has 245,000 miles. From reading about a consistant miss is it could be an injector, delivery valve, pump out of balance, low compression in a cylinder(s), burned or dirty valves.... I'm starting with the easy fixes first. There is a link posted on this thread that covers the diagnoses for a burned valve. As far as turning the barrels it did give my truck a noticable increase in power. Definately make passing easier

I just disassembled my stock injectors to give them a good cleaning and found that one of the springs was hanging up in the bore it sits in. I actually had to twist it out like a screw because the coils wore a groove in the metal. I carefully drilled it out and reassembled it. I'll have the truck ready to start tonight so I'll see if that fixed it.
