my brother has a 94 cummins running 5x.012 injectors and 181 dvs a few other mods hes wanting to know which turbo would be better for towing his combine weight is anywere from 18k-21k lbs hes debating on a industrial injection super phat shaft 62/71/14 or a borg warner 64/68/18 which of the 2 would be better for lower egts and better air flow?

 

Id look into a 62/65/12 or 14. It will spool faster and still run cool compared to stock. And it will spool quicker than the 62/71/14

 

i did the wrong size hes looking at a 64/68/14 or a 62/71/14 i was thinking the 64/68/14 becuase its the 68 rather than the 71 and it has a bigger inducer for more flow

 

you still might want to think a bit smaller 62/65/14 you need low end power and very little top end. i like the way my super B pulls, it isnt a race truck but i can sure as hell get the trailer moving right now and in a hurry.

 

ya its not my truck its my brothers i iliked my super phat shaft 62/71/14 that i had but i like my super 64/71/14 better about the same lag in my opinion
