Default short block, head and pump weight

What do these weigh individually? My engine stand has a 750lb weight limit and was wondering what I can can put on the short block before I put it into the truck.

Sorry thats what I meant the long block (with head and pump) is 975. Not sure what a short block weighs off the top of my head. I have seen alot of home made setups and most guys are using 1000lb or 2000lb stands. I would maybe put a short block on a 750 stand but wouldnt do much work on it while its on there because it will get to bouncin.

Mount the engine sideways rather than from flywheel housing up. Alot easier to hold weight closer to the supports than
Hangin away from it.

How do you mount the engine sideways? Do you mean on a typical 750 lb engine stand?

You'd probably have to do some modifications to the mount or make your own. How much extra change do you have to work with? I bought a 1 ton stand for like $150 from summit some years back.
