Default Rear end swap?

Alright so my rear end went out on me and I have a cpl question on what I should do. Right now I have 4.10 gears. I no some one who has a dually rearend out of an 01 dodge 1 ton that has 3.54s in it. I'm tryin to do this the cheapest way and I was wondering if I could go ahead an swap the whole rear end out, put the 3.54 rear under it and leave the gears in my front end alone an jus take out the drive shaft until I can afford the 3.54 for the front. Am I able to do this and will everything bolt up even though it's out of an 01? Thanks

are they both dana 80's? and they should bolt right up. if you take your drive shaft out you wil be fine, no damage will occur. you might have to do something with brake lines??? i dont know when they went to rear disk?
