need a little help on my fuel plate and EGT's
well i have a 97 cummins i just got it and it was a dog but runs good .. so i did the #0 plate mod and it has way more power but.. im scared to hurt the motor it has the 5 speed.
and i do have gages but dont understand em.. it says 1-15 x100 ? and it runs at 6..
so whats that 600 or 6000??? and is there a way i can lower the egts..?
i dont wanna hurt my motor...
my boost gage say 1-30 and it peg's it out.. is that bad on a stock motor? i try not to let it boost that high.
any info well help

thanks

600 and is your probe on the manifold or in the downpipe after the turbo? If it is post turbo then add about 200 to your gauge reading. 600 is good dont push it past 1200 for too long. The w/g might be blocked off but 30-35 is ideal for the stock hx35 turbo, check and see if there is an adjustable boost elbow on it. Its a 90* brass elbow with a allen screw in it. You will be fine with your settings.
It's on the down pipe by the turbo.. I did hit 12 yester day I was loaded down with wood and got a little stuck and had it spooled wide open coming up the hill.. But I hit the top of the hill and let it idle and it came right back down to 4
Will the #0 plate hurt the motor at all?
