Default Rear main seal

I believe it started leaking awhile ago. But it's getting alil more under coat on my truck. But my question is can u change th rear main seal without dropping the pan or is it a full on take motor out and apart.

The valve covers tend to leak quite a bit on these motors. Id check that first too! it would save you a TON of work
