today i was trying to adjust the idle on my 97...the previous owner had set it around 1000-1100 rpm, i would like to have it back down to the standard 800 or so idle

i screwed the bolt on the back all the way down untill it was bottomed out, yet the idle did not change..

any ideas what i can do??

Lever on the throttle shaft could have been taken off at some point and put back on a spline off?

Well mine didnt anyway. If you turn it one way .. increases idle. If you turn it opposite it lowers the idle .. if you bottom it out, shouldent start bc it is at such a low idle.

Plug a smarty up too it, you can make it run on 3 cyl. high idle until proper running temp.

That looks like a good kit. But I'm cheap and I had a few people tell me I couldn't make it work.
