pillar guage dimmer
Use a test light or a multimeter to find the correct wire. With dash lights on it should show power then you need to activate the dimmer switch and it should slowly fad to nothing as you move the dial.
Oldtimers must be getting to me.
ive tryed with the meter but no luck for some reason i cant get any jumps/drops in curnet threw any wire playing with the dimmer, guess im going to have to keep trying then....

orange wire in the gray plug into your radio should be the dimmer if you wanted to tap into it there. turn your markers on and check it with a test light by dimming the dash. dont use those stupid scotch connecters that peirce the wire to splice either. i wouldnt even use those on a Lada! solder and shrink tube, or un insulated crimp connector, solder, and shrink tube only ways to go! you can drive your truck under water and that splice will hold!
(cant say the same for anything else tho)

I got my pillar gauge light power from the dash light at the cigarette lighter, easy to find.
