any one know what wire to conect to off the harness to run the dimmer for the guages? cant seem to fine it!! 96.2500

:hellox: I got my pillar gauge light power from the dash light at the cigarette lighter, easy to find.:tu:

Use a test light or a multimeter to find the correct wire. With dash lights on it should show power then you need to activate the dimmer switch and it should slowly fad to nothing as you move the dial.

x2 I can't remember what one it is and I just replaced my headlight switch 2 weeks ago. :argh: Oldtimers must be getting to me. :c:

I can't either I was searching on the net for a wire guide but no luck in my short search....:c:

ive tryed with the meter but no luck for some reason i cant get any jumps/drops in curnet threw any wire playing with the dimmer, guess im going to have to keep trying then....

orange wire in the gray plug into your radio should be the dimmer if you wanted to tap into it there. turn your markers on and check it with a test light by dimming the dash. dont use those stupid scotch connecters that peirce the wire to splice either. i wouldnt even use those on a Lada! solder and shrink tube, or un insulated crimp connector, solder, and shrink tube only ways to go! you can drive your truck under water and that splice will hold!:rocking: (cant say the same for anything else tho)
