Alrighty, I got my clutch installed today and took her for a test drive. Clutch grabs great in all gears with no issues what so ever...however....upon take off, that dang thing chatters like crazy! Like shake my truck chatter...but only when taking off in 2nd (which is what I always take off in unless I am towing something.) I was told that the performance clutches like that are very grabby and will do that when taking off. This true? whats your guys opinion

Yea I still havent installed mine but they are generally grabby like that. I think the ceramic/kevlar single discs are a little smoother but any aftermarket single disc I have drove was always grabby specially in 2nd take off.

Alrighty, thanks alot. I really like it so far and it dont slip a bit but I guess I got to get used to using 1st gear on take off. Cant stand the feel of 2nd gear starts anymore.

97cummins did you ever get your exhaust? I just added a 5inch turbo back system to my 98 the total cost to my door was 260 dollars. Let me know if you need more info.

No i haven't gotten an exhaust system yet due to lack of funds and putting almost a grand into the clutch a few days ago. My stock exhaust was rotting away (was purchased 1st in Hawaii, not the mainland) so i cut it off right before the cat and had 5' or 4 inch pipe welded to it for now. How do you like the 5" system?

I am loving the 5 inch over the previous 3 inch straight exhaust. I actually purchased it from a sponsor on here. I have yet to find a better priced kit out there and the quality of the kit is a lot better than I would have expected for the price. Rollin Smoke Diesel. 1994-2002 Dodge Cummins 5" Turbo Back Exhaust (No Muffler) Just so you know where to look if you ever decide to go with a kit.

Haha ya heard that. My buddy has a lift but its only a 7k lift and my truck is right at 7k. So i decided to go ahead and have a local shop put mine in. Im starting to get used to takin off in 1st but I just really hate doing it...too many quick shifts for my liking. and thanks honkytonk for the link. Hopfully soon i can get some funds built back up and will def check it out. Thanks again.
