Yes, some injectors would help, along with a cam, water methanol injection, gears, and fuel pump timing.

What should the timing be around? and would 4k gsk help? And what gears would you suggest?

If you have the factory head bolts still, no more than 16.5* of timing. I would definitely recommend 4k gsk, they fuel more, and creates a more sensitive throttle, a plus, but they won't help your MPG.

Gears wise, it would depend on what tire size you have, and what you want to use the truck for.

3.50 gears would definitely help the fuel mileage, i went from 18 interstate with 4.10s to 22-23 with 3.50s but the 3.50s will work the transmission harder when pulling or in 4wd so keep an eye on tranny temp if you switch gears, and make sure to do both differentials, i hate saying that but some people still make that mistake!

4.10's are good if you do a lot of stop and go driving. But 3.55's will be better if most of your driving is highway, and as stated above it will work your tranny harder, so giving it some attention would be advisable. I have 3.55's with 37" tires, I get about 25 - 26 mpg hwy.
