like gwhammy said 30-50 hp it is a noticable difference. egt's go up because of the extra fuel everything is still very controlable with the right foot. there is just more there if you want it.

Whats the success to fail rate of turning the barrels? I'm interested in doing this, but I'd rather have reliability and a stable truck, than something that could highly have problems down the road...

I have yet to read anyone do it that didn't like it. It's the same thing the pump shops do only they can read the fuel and supposedly set them the same.

you can set them the same if you had 6 canasters and put them under the injector lines to catch fuel. turn the engine over for X seconds and measure and adjust acordingly.

It's real easy if you look at the pump.

1- take the air intake horn off. this will open up the top of the pump.

2- You see the injection lines going into the top of the injection pump. The nut holding the injection line to the top of the pump need to be loosened to hand tight not taken off.

3- Down below the injection line nut is the delivery valve nut, down below that is a nut on a stud on the valve cover side and one on the fender side. I think they are like 15 mm.

4- There are two nuts per injector. You will loosen these two nuts. Under these nuts is the top of the barrel which has a frame around a half inch thick. On the valve cover side you will tap on the frame under the nut you just loosened toward the firewall. It will move around eighth inch or so and you will feel it get solid.

5- Do all of them this way and tighten everything back up. Enjoy the free horsepower.

If this isn't enough maybe someone can put pictures up to point out the part you move.

Loosen the nut on each side and tap the frame below the nuts to the rear on the valve cover side of the pump. You will feel it get solid, stop and tighten up the nuts. Do all six this way, tighten the injection lines up and put the air horn back on. Probably around 30 to 50 free horsepower.

Bumping the timing for free is also a simple power adder. If you go in to fix the kdp it's a real great time to bump the timing and again it's free.

pretty much just like he said. if your standing in front or your truck tap the left side of the barrel with your punch till it bottoms out. real easy to do.

ive got pictures i just am to retarded to figure out how to put them on a post???

When you are on the reply page, in the second box labeled additional options, you can choose, "manage attachments" button and add pictures that way
