Quick afc question

Default Quick afc question

When turning my afc star wheel forward will it go till it stops or just unwind an come off?

I would recommend sliding it foward a touch or pulling it off and tuning it with shop air. Don't continue to loosen it your just taking the peload off the spring.

I'm new to this so please bare with me what do you mean by slide it forward the whole housing or?? Thanks for your help

The actual AFC housing will slide about 3/8 inch back and forth on the pump. Losing the AFC will fuel more during low boost on take off (can get smokey). Tightening will clean up the smoke and you'll lose some top end power. You'll have to move it around to see what you like. I strongly suggest you take notes on the amount of star wheels turns, how far the AFC is moved, and the fuel plate. They will come in handy when you're trying to tune it in.
