Aftermarket Import Heads
Anyone bought or using one of the import aftermarket heads that folks are selling on EBAY and other places? You can buy these things complete with valves for around $500.00, just wondering if they are any count? My truck has an upgraded fuel plate but that's about it, 30 PSI boost.
Thanks Mike

imo i wouldn't, that cheap i would be worried about cheap casting causing issues down the road. probably not true flat. and more than likely has a lot of casting defects! i would stay away.
kinda like a china turbo, some people get lucky and run them for a long time and others break them and end up spending more in repairs than it would have been to buy a good known turbo in the first place.

but how many times in 5 years do you want to swap a head? oriely has a lifetime waranty on there starters, alternators things like that but after i swapped 4 starters in a year i finally gave up. if you want to go with it its your truck, i wouldn't use it on mine though.
OK I bought one the aftermarket heads, be here tomorrow. I got it from Clearwater Cylinder Head. The person I talk to there said he has sold a bunch of them and never had any returned. I will take some pics of it when it gets here and give an evaluation of it.
