Head Gasket leak???Fixes itself overnight???
Hey All, I am new to the forum and have one heck of a question for you...Has anyone ever experienced a head acting like the gasket is blown with anti-freeze pouring out in front of turbo near oil feed line for turbo and then, then a few days later...Cannot get truck to leak again!
It was leaking so bad that there is a 2' circle of anti-freeze on the ground after only 2 min of being stopped in driveway. Following morning, went to check on truck and it was still leaking out slowly...Two days later, top off the radiator with water (only took about 12oz) drove to friends shop (4 miles away), when I arrived, water temp was normal (185) upper radiator hose was tight (had plenty of pressure) NO LEAKS!!!!! Following day, Friend (ASE Mechanic) pressure tested cooling system (NO LEAKS AND OR BLEAD OFF) drove for 15-20 min (hitting 50psi of boost a few times) let idle for 15 min....STILL NO LEAKS!!! Its like it fixed itself and radiator level is still fine...I have been told the Head can lift, leak out anti-freeze, not blow the gasket and or hurt the head studs and be completely fine....
Has anyone else ever witnessed and or heard of something this crazy before?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
