Default Help Buying A 2nd gen 4wd

First time poster just wanting to get some opinions on a truck i found for sale. Let me know what you think! Heres the add:

1994 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Laramie 4X4
6-Cyl 12 Valve Cummins Turbo Diesel,
Automatic transmission needs rebuilt is currently out of the vehicle.
Std. Cab, Long Box
Elect Windows, Air conditioner, hideaway goose ball in bed,
Custom exhaust, cold air intake,
204,357 Miles
Owned by Non-Smoker
Good Tags and title in hand.
Will not to part out. $3000 OBO----------------------------------------------------------
talked to the guy its been sitting for 8 months and i have a buddy that has a built auto tranny that has 150,000 miles on it and is rebuilt and sitting in the shop i can get for 1 grand. good deal??

Looks workable, with some love and wrenching. For $3000 you can't mess up too bad.

Captain:Interior is good, just has the normal little rips in the seat, I will most likely be gettin a seat cover if i get it. But the pass side fender is a little crinkled. It somes with a new fender though.

noticed it didn't have batteries??? and id go to at least 2500 its gonna take work to get the trans. in not to mention prevent death wobble.

RedRocket: Huh, i actually didn't. Why is it going to take at least 2500? Other than the tranny the fenders messed up but i am going to leave that for a while. My father is a certified diesel mechanic whos been doin this for 30 years so it wont be to difficult to put the tranny back in. As for death wobble how do you know it will have it?

I dont know what you do for a livin but for me 3000 bucks is alot of money

To me that is a good price, however the price doesn't bother me as much as the condition of the truck. I personally would keep on looking. There are better deals to be had out there. Just my thoughts.
