ill 2nd that question and add i cant find slainless o rings just the steel fire rings w/ modified marine gasket. my head is at the machine shop they need the specs from manufacturer .

 

You can't just buy o-rings. Your head has to be machined for it. When I got mine, the machine shop did all the machine work and pressed the wire into the head for the o-rings. Also, there's no problem going with a stock Cummins head gasket.

 

please were do i get the wire .? machinist needs wire i will b using to set up dept. width

 

Pure Diesel Power took care of all the machine work for me, including the wire. 715-254-9181 is the number for their "Tech Line." They may be able to point you in the right direction.

 

they couldnt or woulnt give me answer on were to perchase wire. they did take down my # 3 hrs ago. went to order cummins gasket kit from bbd automated sys. had me leave ph# no call back yet 3hrs.any body want some biz? cummins gasket kit $150,thermostat $32,better than oem head bolts under $100 shipped,4k gsk for good price. i guess sum buisnesses to busy to do buisness.hava nice day.

thanks anyhow,its funny thier is so much writen about the o-ring but no product!its probbaly welding wire or sumthin ill just go get some from home depot w/ a router bit n do it myself goin 2 the sponsers sec.

im gana make 1 on my way 2 home depot & harbor fr. thats were i got my boost elbo no info on one i read sumthin one place and sumthin in another and thought may b it was the marine gasket.

 

For all you who are curious this is what a o-ringed machined head looks like. I run mine up to 60psi with Twins and hitting 600hp at the rear. Max EGT's I can hit is 1300 on WOT.

 

I always wondered what that looked like. Now I know Lol!
