thinkin my injectors got to be clogged.got 330000 miles on her.this is my first diesal truck but its very slow.when i start the truck i got to give it the gas to start it.kills sometimes if i dont work the clutch good and lately when i come to a stop the motor will almost die just enough for the oil light to come on
i change my oil AND fuel filter every 3k mile so i aint slackin.and run sea foam in the filter kinda often.any way to clean them or should i replace

 

What is your idle set at?

 

If its got 330k on stock injectors, they really need to be taken out, cleaned and re-popped at the least. They are more than just dirty I will promise you that.

First off SeaFoam is BAD for your injection pump, it is alcohol. It takes away the lubrication of the fuel. Stanodyne is a great cleaner, along with BG. To me it sounds linke your governor is acting up and your idle is too low to keep the engine running. Even with an injector not firing properly you wouldn't necassarily need to bump the throttle to start it. Now if the pintle isn't holding the pressure in the injector that is a different story. And I agree, your injectors need to be pulled out and reset at the vary least. But with the symptoms you describe i would point towards idle being too low or the idle shim in the pump needing to be looked at.
