Question Will it WORK ?

Got a question for you techs out there. Can a 99/2000 steering box be made to work on a 97 truck? I"ve been told the 99/2000 boxes and steering linkage is different than the 97 . The truck in question is a 97 1 ton dually. Thanks in advance.

i think the boxes are the same, 99.9% sure on that, my dad has an 02 and it looks exactly like mine, also i know the steering linkage could be different, most dodges use a "y" set up, around 98 dodge start using a "t" set up on some trucks, i switched mine to the "t" style because the rods are alot thicker and i bent alot of the "y"s, this is for the 4x4s not 2wd

around u talking about a 2wd truck or 4x4? the boxes are going to be the same between the two but all the linkage and drop arms are different
