Default motor quits

I just finished rebuilding my motor. It runs fine except when I let up quickly on the gas the motor stalls out. It starts back up fine and idles good. It has a rebuilt p7100 fuel pump on it. Is this the problem and if so can it be adjusted or could it be a timing problem. I timed it to factory specs. Thanks

I had the same problem when my idle was set too low, especially when it was cold.
