Default A little more umph to tow my car/boat

Would a fuel plate from BullyDog be enough to gimme a little more umph for towing? I'm not looking to make this thing a killer sled puller and I don't want to spend a pile of cash, but from what I'm reading a fuel plate should do the trick.?

No I don't have that either, I do have a K & N filter

I don't wanna hurt the truck either, I can't afford to be fixing it all the time. It needs to be reliable. I don't often drive it, as you can tell by the miles I have.

If I were you, I would just throw some gauges in it and slide your plate forward some.

Ditch the K&N and either do a BHAF or an aftermarket CAI like S&B or AMSOIL. Just my 2cents but I'm not a fan of K&N, too many problems related with them not filtering well enough.

put a set of govener springs in it. slide the stock plate if you want but it wont do much, or give her a good grinding. i started with a fuel plate too and was pretty much let down with its performance. your truck will be WAY more impressive when it can fuel to 3500 RPMs. highly recommend a big down pipe and air filter to let her breathe.
