97 12V Question
Nope, by the time I got home it was raining. Haven't built my garage yet, and the barn is full. I did talk to a friend today and he said the co-op where I usually get my fuel had a problem with water in the tank. Now I'm wondering if that might be a part of the problem. Once it dies it takes a bit to get it started, but then it runs fine. I'll put some fuel drier in the tank just to be sure. Nothing like adding one more variable to the problem.
Okay, ruled out the water in fuel. Back to checking pressure, the cheap-*** kit I got didn't have the right fitting.
I don't live close by anything that carries that sort of stuff so I just made a new parts list and put it on the backburner. I had to move the truck yesterday and it showed it's *** again. Just out of curiosity I primed it with the primer on the lift pump, I can hear it hissing at the injector pump. I'm guessing that's not normal. Either way, I'm done for now, it's going to my friend's garage in the morning. Looks like it's time to get the first cutting of alfalfa done and I'm not going to get much free time. I love being able to fix my own stuff, not to mention learning about diesels, but there's also a small measure of joy knowing I can afford to have someone fix it for me when needed. That wasn't the case before, and anyone who's been there or is there knows what I mean. Thanks for all the help, I'll post results when I get a chance.
